Breaks include:
Labor Day (Monday students will have an extra lesson on August 31 as a pre-makeup for this)
Thanksgiving week Nov. 23 - Nov. 28
Winter Break Dec. 21 - Jan. 2

Makeup lesson days will include Mon-Tues, Nov 23-24 and Mon-Tues, Dec. 21-22
Spring Session - 18 lessons from January 4 - May 29, 2027

The last week of May is a makeup week May 25 (Tuesday) - May 29. Monday students will meet on the 24th as scheduled, because we will not meet on May 31 (Memorial Day).
Student Concerts:
Fall Concert - A Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM in November (Date TBD)
Spring Concert - A Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM in April (Date TBD)
Rates
Monthly tuition rates from Summer 2026 - Spring 2027 will increase by roughly 3% over the previous year, rounded to the nearest five dollar interval. Summer rates are around 10% lower than the Fall and Spring rates because we will have fewer lessons on average. I will send out invoices on Venmo or Cashapp on the first of each month. If you prefer to pay another way, please just let me know. For current rates, please contact me.
Attendance
If we miss lessons, we will try to make them up (provided reasonable notice is given) as the session proceeds. However there are several makeup and miscellaneous weeks built into the schedule. We can also schedule makeups in advance, during the Summer for instance, if we are anticipating upcoming missed weeks.
If we are hit by several last minute sicknesses and/or weather events (it takes a lot to keep me home!), I can’t absolutely guarantee we will make up every missed lesson, but we will make a good faith effort! Of course it’s also possible that we might end up having more lessons than scheduled during a session, because of the miscellaneous missed weeks built in, and if that happens - great!
Makeup Days/Weeks
The schedule on makeup days and weeks will likely be very different than a usual week. I will attempt to schedule a lesson with anyone who has missed more than one lesson during the Fall or Spring session or more than two during the Summer session.
